LIVE: Israel kills 6 in Lebanon as Blinken says ‘time to end war’ in Gaza

  • US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says Israel has accomplished its “goals” and that it was time for fighting in Gaza to end.
  • Lebanon’s Health Ministry says an Israeli raid on Dawhet Aramoun has killed six people and wounded 15 others.
  • The UN says Israel let only one aid mission into besieged north Gaza this month and attacked the shelters the supplies were distributed at shortly afterwards.
  • The US says support to Israel will continue after a 30-day deadline to boost aid to Gaza or face cuts to weapons funding expired. Aid groups say Israel has worsened conditions in the enclave during the period.
  • Israel’s genocide in Gaza has killed at least 43,712 Palestinians and wounded 103,258 since October 7, 2023. An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks that day and more than 200 were taken captive.
  • In Lebanon, at least 3,287 people have been killed and 14,222 wounded in Israeli attacks since the war on Gaza began.
  • Video shows Red Crescent aiding wounded

    Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has shared a video on X showing the teams retrieving a body on the street and transporting the wounded to the hospital in central Gaza, following an attack by Israeli forces.

    PRCS said on X the teams helped 16 wounded people following an Israeli attack on a tent sheltering displaced people near Bilal bin Rabah Mosque, west of Deir el-Balah.

    • Hezbollah claims to have confronted two Israeli drones

      The Lebanese armed group says its air defence unit has confronted two Israeli drones – a Hermes 450 and a Hermes 900 – in the Lebanese airspace with surface-to-air missiles, forcing them to exit.

      Hezbollah also claimed to have launched rockets at two groups of Israeli soldiers in the Sasa and Kfar Vradim settlements in northern Israel.
